Artist: Oh Snap!!
Track name: Everyone's a DJ (Mujava Remix)
Category: Postmodern dance truth

A GRL vs. MMR9 summer tour hit of 2009, found online after a looong time of looking for "that DJ track" from a Mochipet (?) mix. Doesn't need a whole load of description because you'll get it since it's IN YOUR FACE from minute one.

New design, probably new avatar & other news

Hey,

I like this group, I decided to invest some time in new design. It's a little bit darker, but this is a design with meaning. I hope some of you will be able to decipher the meaning and send me the answer (my gmail username is jooray -> hope spambots can't decipher statements like this and I hope you do), please don't say the solution as a reaction to this post, so others can have fun, but feel free to say, you did it :). There are three levels of deciphering -> the means, the content and the source. I hope some of you will be able to do all three. The answer is of course hidden in the blog.

The Avatar is not yet uploaded, but will be (don't try to look for any meaning there, it's a random wave generated by Processing and a little code:). The problem is, that I accidentaly clicked a button to leave the group and when I rejoined, I lost my administrator status. So I need to ask other admins to give me my rights back.

The wonderful people at Soup.Io have decided to create a Soup.Tv remix, which is something really useful for this small site. So, if you have mood and listen to the songs contained here, go to thebestsongever.soup.tv: no need to click through the videos, they will all be played in a row (of course you can skip those you don't like by clicking the "fast forward" right button).

I wish you all best in upcoming year and please post your Best Songs Ever. No need to put many though, there are lots of great songs, but only few are best (in case you think this is mathematical nonsense, it is not, because we are describing something called partially ordered sets, which can have more than one suprema).

   Enough mumblings, have fun.

Artist: Autechre
Track name: Gantz Graf
Category: Noise cold synæsthesia

The video for Gantz Graf received widespread attention - perhaps more so than any previous output from Autechre; in interviews, Alex Rutterford stated that it achieved cult status in underground computer-generated imagery art circles.

The video features an abstract object synchronized to the sounds in the music as it morphs, pulsates, shakes, and finally dissolves. Alex Rutterford (who had previously created an unofficial video for the Tri Repetae track "Eutow" as part of the Channel 4 music programme Lo-Fi in 2001) claims the idea for the "Gantz Graf" video came during one of his LSD trips Rutterford also stated that there was no generative element to the imagery; every three-dimensional object in the agglomeration was painstakingly and manually synchronised with a specific element or frequency range within the track.

It was an interesting trip Alex.

Artist: Six Organs of Admittance
Track: Fire of the mind

I love this Coil cover, which is much better than original. I hope Ben will release the version played life on his tour, with Alex Nielsen on drums. It feels much richer and better.

Please, if anyone has recording of the concert, please send it to me.

(BTW: This is a free track released here, there's even a WAV version).
